Soft skills are skills that are not tied to a specific occupational field, but can be applied across all professional careers. A typical example would be interpersonal and communication skills. Students can complement their academic studies with training in soft skills.

For the academic year 2025/26, the Master’s degree programme in Sustainable natural resource management has decided to recognise credits for the courses planned in the areas of Sustainability and Environment - Gender Equality, Inclusion, International Cooperation - Digital and communication skills listed in the Soft Skills section of the UniMi website. These courses can be included in the study plan as elective activities (freely chosen activities).
