GIS for Urban and Peri-Urban Green Space Management

Spatial Tools for Sustainable Green Infrastructure

This thesis aims to develop and apply GIS tools to support the management of urban green spaces at Parco Nord Milano. The research will integrate geospatial data to monitor tree health, optimize maintenance interventions, and plan new plantings. The study may involve the use of satellite imagery, LiDAR, TLS, or drone data for forest structure analysis and the development of algorithms to interpret data for sustainable urban forest management.
