The thesis will allow the student to select case studies of interest and analyze the regulatory, historical, management, and usage characteristics of collective forest use.
The activity involves collecting and systematizing data, assessing the socio-economic and environmental impact, and analyzing legal evolutions to evaluate the future prospects of these practices in sustainable forest management.

Required Knowledge and Skills

Knowledge of Italian forest legislation and governance models
- Interest in forest resource management and collective ownership practices
- Ability to perform comparative analysis and synthesize legal and historical data
- Familiarity with GIS databases and mapping tools (optional)
